We chose the tour because it included entrance to the Milan Cathedral as well as stops at the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Sforza Castle and the famous La Scala Opera House.
The would culminate at the church of Santa Maria Delle Grazie and entrance to a viewing of Leonardo Da Vinci’s painting of The Last Supper.
What we hadn’t taken into account was the fact that by the time we took the tour on our third day in Milan, we had already walked much of the historic center and the tour retraced most of what we had already walked. Our suggestion would be that if you take this tour, it should be on your first day in Milan.
We were also disappointed that we could not visit the interior of La Scala or Sforza Castle so you will need to plan a separate return visit to see the interiors and visit the museums inside.
Other than these particular draw-backs, the tour was interesting and definitely delivered on the visit to see The Last Supper, and being with a smaller group is much more fun than being with a huge tourist group.
So we are giving this tour half a thumbs-up! We hope your enjoy taking the walking tour with us in the photos below!
